This place is not for everyone. Conversation is loud, language is colorful and smoking is allowed. But everyone I met is friendly. Sandwiches here are massive. Beefs, ruebens and more are the best around. I have found this to be a great place to spend some time. Cash only but has an ATM machine.

So....the food was terrific but dropping the F-bomb every 2 seconds wasn't that cool. And that was mild language. I'm no prude but jeez!

This place is a diamond in the rough. First off the food is simply amazing. The Reuben is hands down the best sandwich in 100 square miles. The pizza is perfect every time. The bar is filled with Chicago accents that remind me of my childhood and the beer is almost too cold. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but from someone who has worked in the industry their whole life I can tell you this is the real deal. Treat yourself to the best meal in town.

Fantastic place, the rueben sandwich is the size of your arm, french onion soup is delicious. Good bantor, good prices and great staff.

Great food and a good time. Owner is a Sox fan but not everyone is perfect! Go cubbies!

Best Chicago food in town

Usually our experience here is an excellent one. We were not disorderly or antagonistic in any way. We stopped in to eat, took one sip of our drink and I placed my food order quickly as I was told to make it quick. When my husband and his friend needed a moment to order the owner pulled my and my husband's drink away and were then told we would not be getting anything at all there. I do appreciate a bartender caring enough to not serve any more alcohol to patrons if they feel the customer has has too many. When I tried to explain we were there for the food, we were still turned away. (I did ask if the kitchen was still open and was told yes.) Bummer visit and we won't be back again.

Lots of fun, good food, and owner operator has a great sassy attitude that made us feel right at home! Patrons are genuine, friendly, and approachable!

It's a bunch of FRIENDLY chicago people who LOVE the Ozarks as much as this southerner. Food is great...but I go for the friends.

Delicious Chicago style hot beef sandwich....it's the size of your head! I couldn't set it down! Cold beer! Fun people!
